Stitching and Drumming............

Ah, yes, stitching and drumming but not at the same time!

First up is 'Spirit' HAED (Heaven and Earth Designs):

Before:

Now:

I dug out an old UFO that is quite close to being finished. It is called 'Natures Vision' and is now currently out of print.

Before:

Now:

I have finished all the stitching and backstitching on Lavender Fields by Mill Hill. I just need to do all the beading now.

The sunflower Biscornu is coming along slowly but surely.

Before:

Now:

I have two new starts. The first one is 'Wrong Side', which is my rotation piece.

So far, I am really enjoying stitching on this as the threads are Weekes Dyes. It is 1 strand over two threads on 32 count linen.

Lastly, I started a Christmas ornament:

It will be a snowman when it's a finished.

I purchased another HAED chart, I couldn't help myself.

It will take a few months to kit up gradually but I can't wait to start it................that will be my fourth HAED on the go..............a glutton for punishment lol.

Last Saturday we drummed at a children's fete in Robertsbridge. It was a lovely afternoon, drumming, drinking fruit ladened Pimms and even did a drum shop for the children :)
There weren't many drummers out as we had two events on the same day which was divided between us. Plus some drummers don't seem to like to travel far, which is a shame.

Colin and I.

Anyone for Pimms?

Natures Vision Update

I will be so glad when this is finished, but I think it is going to be a while yet.
Here is a before photo:

And how it looks now:

I am not getting as much stitching time as I would like still, hence why I feel this one is going at a snails pace :(

I would like to thank everyone who has voted in my poll. I will leave it open for a while longer but it looks like it will be Spirit that I will be focusing on.

I have really good news and that after nearly a year of being unemployed, my partner Colin has finally got a job. He will be a bus driver for Stagecoach. We are both overjoyed about this.

Natures Vision and Steampunk.

Here is a before photo on Natures Vision:

And how it looks now:

I have stopped stitching it on the lap frame as it was slowing me down too much. My plan is to only stitch on this and nothing else until it is finished

Colin and I joined the local Steampunk Society and last Saturday we did our first outing with them.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steampunk for anyone who does not know what Steampunk is. Needless to say, we are Victorian orientated................think Around the World in 80 days, Extraordinary League of Gentleman etc.

We all rode the Typhoon Simulator!

We had great fun. Much pleasure was had on our excursion with tea and beer!

I was wearing a full skirt with full wedding cake style petticoat. This photo shows how lovely the skirt is from the back.

Big Update

I am a Nana again! Lily Lisa Marie Baker Was born on Sunday night weighing 6lbs 11. She is grandchild number nine :-)

Castles in the Air
I finished part 6. I love the way this one looks.

The finished part.

How it looks overall.

Natures Vision

Although it is looking pretty good, I'm finding it hard to stitch on at the moment..............I am having trouble getting into it. I have to make an effort on it though as it is for my son Ashley.

Oriental Lady

This is a bookmark that became a UFO. I needed a small project to be able to do when I have my grandchildren so I fished it out. I had to frog the fan as I started it one stitch too high. I am back stitching as I go as there is an awful lot of it.

New Start

I purchased the first part of Around the World in Eighty Days when it first came out. I love doing speciality stitches and thought I might as well start it seeing I rarely have new starts seeing nearly everything I stitch is huge :-/

The fabric is Honeysuckle Pink Joblean but it does not show up very well in the bottom of the two photos.

An Amazing Bargain!

A bargain in England I hear you say when everything is so over priced? A bargain in RIP OFF BRITAIN? Very much so! Mother in law to be picked me up this from a car boot sale for £5! Yes you read that right, £5!

It is Lavender and Laces Celtic Summer. The chart has it's original price tag on it of £8.99.  It contains absolutely everything. Fabric, beads, threads, needles, original chart and photo copies of the chart. How amazing is that for £5! Thank you Mumsy!

It will have to wait for a while as I have L&L's Angel of the Sea to do first :-)

Monday was a busy day for me as it was a bank holiday and we drummed at Battle Medieval Fayre. It was such a beautiful day and I got severely sunburnt even though I was wearing a high factor sun screen. It has been raining since then. We are having crazy weather. I am beginning to wonder if we will even have a summer this year.

Over Due Update

I have not stitched as much as I would of liked over the last several weeks, in fact some weeks I did not get any stitching done due to ill health and personal issues. I am hoping to be able to get back into a routine.

It is slowly coming along ;-)

Next is Dragon's Lair:

Not too much left to do on this one accept
 for all the beading.
