My stitching Mojo hardly exists although I really want to stitch. I get very frustrated when this happens.
I really do want to stitch but two things happen when I try:
A/ I pick some stitching up and just end up staring at it.
B/ I want to start something new but do not have the 'urge' to sort something out to stitch.
So, I went through my stash and forgot I had this kit by Mirabilia, 'Halloween Fairy'. It is not a very large piece so should give me some incentive. I thought it would look better on a lighter fabric than the linen it came with so picked out a piece of Polstitches Fabric I had laying around.
All being well, I am hoping that I can get stuck into it tonight.
Wish me luck!
Good Luck Kelly!! I look forward to seeing your progress on this. Hopefully I will get some stitching in soon also. I have started a Halloween picture and yet I have only stitched on it once in the last 2 weeks.
ReplyDeleteHi Nancy, I just absolutely adore Halloween. Maybe I should do nothing but Halloween stitching for the next two months!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great piece to stitch. I know what you mean as my mojo just came back this month. Hang in there.
ReplyDeleteThank you Jan, sorry you lost yours too.
ReplyDeleteGreat choice for a project Kelly!...and you just happened to have floss, pattern and fabric!!
ReplyDeleteI loook forward to seeing your progress.
Crossing fingers that this one will do the trick for you. It's a lovely design
ReplyDeleteI'm beginning to like the Halloween stuff too! I just finished Witches Wheel and it's framed and ready to hang this October. I'm #B with stitching. You kit it up and I will stitch it in a heartbeat, but if I have to dig up the material and threads??? Ugh, I hate that part! I like this fairy! I did the Trick or Treat one that came in a magazine.
ReplyDeleteShe is pretty, hope she gets you out of you stitching funk.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see that you are stitching again, I am not stitching either just cannot seem to get into the mood yet.
ReplyDeleteMarl
I hope you get your mojo back esp as celtic summer looks as if its going to be gorgeous when its done.
ReplyDeleteKelly,
ReplyDeleteI hope Mojo came back with this piece. I've been know to lose my Mojo now and then too, lately, I often sit staring in front of my WIP instead of stitching it, but once I do get started, I'm having fun. It's just that getting started that is difficult.
And yes, those prices for thread are outrages :(
Can't wait to see progress pics of Halloween Fairy
ReplyDeleteI love that pattern, but I haven't bought it because I didn't want the kit.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure yours will be beautiful!
