This is what it will look like:
This is a before photo:
And this is what it look's like now:
So far, this is a total of 5000 stitches, done 1 over 1 on 25ct Lugana. I have done half of page one and two. This is the full width. It also includes Kreinik, which is quite hard to get the stitch to lay flat on 1 over 1.
I was stitching my other HAED The Green Man on Dublin linen which was the recommended fabric. It looks absolute shit terrible. I had put in 500 stitches. So I am restarting it on 25ct Lugana which arrived this morning.
Last Friday morning, I received a lovely RAK from Debbie in Canada. She sent it before Christmas and for some reason, it only just arrived. Better late then never!
She sent me a lovely needle case and some floss from The Gentle Art. I am already using the needle book case and it will stop me losing lots of needles in the arm of the settee! Again, thank you so much Debbie!
Spirit is coming along very nicely. What a great progress! Congratulations. And so sorry about the Green Man. I'm sure he will look lovely on lugana. Maybe you can save some of that linen and reuse on smaller projects.

Thank you Evalina!
DeleteYes, I will be using the linen for ornaments.
She is going to be awesome when done! Greenman will look much better on evenweave...you will be much more happy.
ReplyDeleteThank you Chris!
DeleteGreat progress on Spirit, she's gonna be beautiful. What a nice RAK. Here of late I've been having trouble with losing my needles. I find them, after I've gotten another one out. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Tammy!
DeleteGlad to see you have got your stitching mojo back. Spirit is looking good but am still not tempted to try a HAED.
ReplyDeleteThank you Denise! A HAED sure is a long time commitment!
DeleteSpirit looks great. Will that be bookmark size when done? I just did some over one stitching on 25 ct linen...and I didn't like it either. I guess I'm an evenweave snob.
ReplyDeleteThank you Nancy! It's 4 x 12 when done.
DeleteI love Lugana. Bumme you had to start over.
ReplyDeleteSame as Patches!
DeleteGreat work on Spirit. I can't imagine doing a HAED on linen, lugana will be a lot better.
ReplyDeleteThank you Kate!

Wow Kelly you are steaming ahead. Well done.
ReplyDeleteI think if I did a 1 over 1 my eyes would POP.
Its a great design, love to see it finished.
I have looked at HAED a number of times but I'm a chook, and I don't think I could stitch one to finish it in my lifetime LOL.
