Big Update

I am a Nana again! Lily Lisa Marie Baker Was born on Sunday night weighing 6lbs 11. She is grandchild number nine :-)

Castles in the Air
I finished part 6. I love the way this one looks.

The finished part.

How it looks overall.

Natures Vision

Although it is looking pretty good, I'm finding it hard to stitch on at the moment..............I am having trouble getting into it. I have to make an effort on it though as it is for my son Ashley.

Oriental Lady

This is a bookmark that became a UFO. I needed a small project to be able to do when I have my grandchildren so I fished it out. I had to frog the fan as I started it one stitch too high. I am back stitching as I go as there is an awful lot of it.

New Start

I purchased the first part of Around the World in Eighty Days when it first came out. I love doing speciality stitches and thought I might as well start it seeing I rarely have new starts seeing nearly everything I stitch is huge :-/

The fabric is Honeysuckle Pink Joblean but it does not show up very well in the bottom of the two photos.

An Amazing Bargain!

A bargain in England I hear you say when everything is so over priced? A bargain in RIP OFF BRITAIN? Very much so! Mother in law to be picked me up this from a car boot sale for £5! Yes you read that right, £5!

It is Lavender and Laces Celtic Summer. The chart has it's original price tag on it of £8.99.  It contains absolutely everything. Fabric, beads, threads, needles, original chart and photo copies of the chart. How amazing is that for £5! Thank you Mumsy!

It will have to wait for a while as I have L&L's Angel of the Sea to do first :-)

Monday was a busy day for me as it was a bank holiday and we drummed at Battle Medieval Fayre. It was such a beautiful day and I got severely sunburnt even though I was wearing a high factor sun screen. It has been raining since then. We are having crazy weather. I am beginning to wonder if we will even have a summer this year.

Castles in the Air

It has been a while since I worked on this and I needed a change from my other stitching.

This is so large that it is very hard to get a descent photo of it.

I finished this area and started the next:

I just love doing the speciality stitches.

I have worked on one of my HAED's and Natures Vision as well but there's not really enough done to warrant pictures this week.

Green Man and Natures Vision.

Not had the chance to do much stitching this last week. I am hoping to remedy that over the next few days though :-)

First up, The Green man Cernunnus.

Before:

After:

As you can see, I have done quite a lot on it since the last update.

Next up, Natures Vision.

I have started the second wing and put a few of the stars on.

HAED and Exchange

Last Thursday I met up with Denise who now lives in Saudi Arabia but originally comes from Hastings in the UK.  We had lunch at Waterfalls in Hastings Town centre. We talked so much! It was so lovely to see Denise again. I also gave her an exchange we were in last year on my ILCS Yahoo group. It was for a Summer ornament, but I stitched her two seeing she waited so long for it. We had previously arranged that I would give them to her when we met next. It makes it more personal :-)

I have neglected my HAED's lately, so over the last week I worked on Dragon Moon.

The picture does not do it justice as it does not show how sparkly it is due to the Petite Treasure Braid.

This is how it will look when it is finished.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

The chickens are coming along nicely. All three of them (Doris, Dolly and Dotty)  are all laying eggs now. They taste so much better then shop eggs.

Dragon's Lair Finished!

Woo hoo, I can't believe that I have actually finished it! I sat up until late last night and all this afternoon finishing off putting the beads on it. This is for my son Joshua.

Here are some close ups so you can see the details better.

Now onto Natures Vision for my other son Ashley.

Lizzie Kate Summer Sampler Finished

Stitched on 28ct Pale Green Jobelan

I switched out the blues on the house for purples and took liberties with the sunflower head as well as I didn't have the called for colours.

I used a clear bead for the door nob.

I am really pleased how it turned out. I have the other three seasons to do too.

Natures Vision and Summer Sampler

Last week was a good week as far as my stitching was concerned. First up is Natures Vision.
Here is a before photo:

And this is what it looks like now:

I got the whole wing finished! So it will be onto the next wing when I pick it up next.

I got some more done on Summer Sampler too:

I really am enjoying stitching on this one as it is bright and colourful.

Dragon's Lair and Summer Sampler

I  worked on Dragon's Lair and Summer Sampler   last week.
Here is a 'before' photo of Dragons Lair:

And a 'now' photo.

A close up:

I really love how colourful this piece is. It is for one of my twins Joshua. Not too much stitching left and then 100's of beads to sew on.

And lastly but not least Summer Sampler by Lizzie Kate.

I always think that LK charts always look so much better stitched than the photo on the front of the chart.

Lizzie Kate Summer Sampler

I have been really busy this week and I have not managed to stitch as much as I would of liked. But every stitch counts! I swapped blues for purples on the house as I did not fancy the blues :-)

We have been very busy in the garden making way for our new pets as well as preparing the garden for growing our own veggies.

Colin (on the right) and our friend Phil having a break whilst reading instructions and Lindita Stinky Rita being nosey lol.

One chicken coop!

Hopefully we will be getting our three chickens over the next week to ten days. We will also be adding a run to the coop but we have been advised to keep the chickens in the coop for the first 3 to 4 weeks.

Phil made us a lovely bird house!

Birdhouse and Coop in situ.

Colin also put together a frame for either the runner beans or peas.

There is still absolutely tons to do in the garden. And I have to say that my house resembles a green house as we have propagators on nearly every window sill in the house lol.

I have already started a new piece.

It is Lizzie Kate's Summer House Sampler. I have changed the colour of the house to purples though :-)
