Long Time No Post

I am finally stitching again after a turbulent couple of months.

Colins Nan finally passed away peacefully in her sleep on the 29th December. We will be attending her funeral on the 10th up in Dunstable.

I have been stitching on my Celtic Summer which is a SAL on my ILCS group. I am going to get it finished this year as Rene was a part of the SAL too. Picture to follow during the next few days.

Every New Year Rene and I always start a new SAL together. We picked out the chart several months ago and I am still going to go ahead and stitch it but I will be starting it in a few weeks when I can afford to buy the things I need for it.

Tonight I started Little House Needleworks 'The Bookshelf'. I didnt have the right coloured fabric for it but what I chose seems to be working pretty well. There's not enough done for an update as I need four colours for it which I have ordered from Sewandso, and cant do much until I get one of them ;-(

I am also determined to keep my seasonal shelf up to date, so I have a few charts already for months and seasons.

  1. It is wonderful to see you pack in blogland Kelly :)

I look forward to seeing your pics of Celtic Summer. Am also just as curious as to what piece you and Rene had planned for your SAL. I'll be rooting you on for support.

  2. Good to see you back. The bookshelf will look great.
And looking forward to see your Celtic summer and your new Sal. Are there any more news about Rene?

  3. So glad to see you back online! Looking forward to some progress pics. :)

  4. I was so glad to see that you are back. I have missed reading your posts. I look forward to seeing photos of your progress on the two projects you are working on.

  7. So sorry to hear about Colin's Nan passing away, Kelly. You all are in my prayers... Celtic Summer is just lovely... I have it in my stash and would love to start it one day in the not too distant future. Can't wait to see your progress on The Bookshelf... another one I would like to start soon...

I love Autumn Leaves... such a lovely finish! {another one in my stash lol} And Midnight Enchanter is Awesome!!! Love, love, love it! I will have to add that one to my Wish List! :)

Wishing you and yours a New Year filled with joy, love, good cheer and good health and loads of stitching time!

    Blessings always in stitches...

  8. Sorry to hear of Colin's Nan passing. Hopefully you won't have any snow problems for traveling. I'm sure Rene would love to know you are going to keep your seasonal shelf going as she loved to change hers monthly.

Thank you so much for taking the time to comment, I really appreciate each and every one.
